Steph Primm, the Executive Director of Knox County Homeless Coalition (KCHC), has announced her retirement in early 2024. Primm, who has been at the forefront of KCHC’s development since its inception a decade ago, has been instrumental in the significant growth and success of the organization.

It has been the privilege of my life to work alongside kind and incredibly giving people to build this organization. I leave this role with great pride in the organization that KCHC has become and thank this community for placing your trust in me through the years.”
— Steph Primm

Under Primm’s leadership, KCHC has expanded beyond re-opening the Hospitality House Family Shelter in Rockport. The organization now operates an emergency overnight shelter, transitional apartments for youth, The Landing Place youth center, and affordable housing units. In addition, KCHC offers comprehensive services including urgent need coordination, case management for adults, families, and youth, housing navigation & education, free mental health therapy for youth, transportation, and free supplies for those in care, all delivered with boundless compassion.

As we navigate this transition, we are filled with immense gratitude for Steph Primm’s exceptional leadership. Steph has set a high bar, and the Board of KCHC is ready to lead the organization into its next chapter. We are confident in our incredible staff and remain steadfast in our commitment to the mission, ensuring the continuation of the quality of care and our efforts around affordable housing that KCHC is known for.
— Caroline Morong, Board Chair
